Collection: The Brown Water Boys

The Brown Water Boys formed near West Liberty, Kentucky in the early 1940’s by the Cutter brothers (Drexel – guitar, fiddle, vocals; Charles Ray — banjo; and Delmont — guitar, vocals). Although their roots were in gospel and hillbilly music, they are now regarded as the original “outlaw” country band after years of vice, lawlessness and general poor judgement resulted in the band’s ignominious end.
